Weekly Roundup: final days of April

I can't believe April's almost over. Probably the busiest (and most fun!) month for me, I have had something going on every weekend. This one's no different; I'm on my way to a wedding in San Diego today. Weddings aren't really my bag, baby, but here's hoping there's an open bar and some good looking gentlemen who can dance. Because lord knows, I can't.

Happy (belated) Earth Day!

Weekly Roundup: Easter

It's Easter weekend! I shall be spending it at my cabin in Mt. Shasta, and I'm sure it will be a holiday treat for all, filled with food and wine, save for the allergies/sickness I've come down with this week. If we hardly ever went to the cabin, I'd probably be sitting this one out...but since it's been six months since I've seen the ol' girl, I'm powering through it!

Weekly Roundup: c'est un pique-nique!

Who has two thumbs and is already procrastinating on her thesis? If you guessed anyone except me, you could be right, but why would I be talking about someone I don't know? No, sadly I did mean me, because I am already procrastinating on my thesis. But this is what I always do. Only time will tell if it'll pay off for me as per usual.

Weekly Roundup: first week of spring quarter

Well, my final quarter as an undergraduate student began this week. It's unsettling, knowing that four years ago, I was wide-eyed, naive, and so overwhelmed by the quarter system that I almost failed all my classes. Now, I'm accepted into graduate school, working, running a student organization, editing the Classics department publication, writing an honors thesis, and somehow, against all odds, I haven't lost my mind yet. (I know right where it is. In the liquor cabinet.) I managed to score a schedule where I don't have to be on campus until either noon or 2 pm. I know, soon enough, I will be using that morning time to write haphazard drafts of my thesis. But for now, I am enjoying it.
