Weekly Roundup: Easter

It's Easter weekend! I shall be spending it at my cabin in Mt. Shasta, and I'm sure it will be a holiday treat for all, filled with food and wine, save for the allergies/sickness I've come down with this week. If we hardly ever went to the cabin, I'd probably be sitting this one out...but since it's been six months since I've seen the ol' girl, I'm powering through it!

"This must be the best of all possible worlds"
Music: Buzzfeed Radio's "15 Summer Jams You Might Have Forgotten" has been on repeat since last Sunday. Arguably entirely guilty pleasures (but what are those anyway?), I dare you to be too ashamed to not bust it out any and everywhere. I'm also absolutely obsessed with Chromeo's "Jealous (I Ain't With It)" and the Dillon Francis remix is definitely a new gym staple. I can't wait for their new album White Women this May; I have a hunch it's gonna be playing all summer.

Food: Lotta juice all up in my life this week. Between a post-weekend cleanse to juice off the burritos and burgers and losing my appetite while sick but forcing myself to consume any and all vitamin sources in my kitchen, I have been waking up my apartment with the blender. That, or after class I'm tanning and drinking Longboards. I know, it's tough to be a senior.

Television: HBO Sundays are back in full swing and this week's Game of Thrones was some cray ish. I won't get too spoiler-y because maybe there's still someone on this planet who hasn't watched The Lion and The Rose yet, but I am so ready for George R. R. Martin to keep his promise of "All men must die."

Fashion: Since I got sick, I've been rocking allergy chic involving my trusty Madewell jeans (illness is no excuse to not have a life-altering rearview!), a topknot, and puffy eyes. When I'm not sick, it's already so ridiculously hot in Davis that I've been confined to high-waisted "mom jean" cutoffs and my new Kate Spade Saturday square neck bikini. Fits like a dream, a great basic with a twist, and not actually budget-breaking. (Since when did bathing suits get so damn expensive?)

Word: Easter |ˈēstər| [ noun ] the most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ and held (in the Western Church) between March 21 and April 25, on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox : Our family doesn't really celebrate Easter, so we're using it as an excuse to brunch and get drunk too early in the morning!

And since y'all asked, yes, my Picnic Day went great!
