Weekly Roundup: Memorial Day weekend

On a completely different note than last week, I have been busy and stressed the last couple of days. Final papers are not good for my soul. But, the one (out of two) that I was stressing the most about is over and in just a few short hours, I will be on my way to my cabin in Mt. Shasta to fully enjoy the long weekend. Here's to rewarding our accomplishments.

I chose instant gratification with a post-paper feast of Krush Burger

Music: I've been hitting the gym three times a week these past couple of weeks, and I feel so much better for it. I also love making exercise playlists, mostly because they easily double as my 'white girl wasted' playlists. The most recent one is a little bit indie, a little bit slutty, and especially good for running.

Food: I actually managed to make food this week! Not much, most of my diet was iced coffee, chips and hummus, but I did cook a Balsamic Pork Tenderloin in our crock pot which lasted me three days. I love the crock pot; it's the perfect wife.

What I did with the leftovers: put a poached egg on it!

Television: When I wasn't trying to write one of the last essays of my undergraduate career, I was procrastinating on writing that essay by watching Hot In Cleveland. Now, I know what you're thinking. That TV Land show my mom watches? Yes, that's the one. It is really funny and just what I needed during these stressful last weeks as a study break. It's kind of the new Golden Girls (although nothing will ever really be as amazing as GG) and Betty White kills, as always.

Beauty: I got my first Birchbox this week! I may already be obsessed. It's $10 though. Ten. Dollars. That's one of the cheaper boxes on the market and I got a good variety of stuff, including volumizing shampoo (that I just used this morning and fell in love with), a lip crayon, shave gel, sun care, and vitamins. They really covered all the summer bases. And, they slipped in a code for $25 off at Kate Spade Saturday, which I am already a fan of because of the swimsuit I bought there. So that was an excuse to treat myself last night for finishing my paper.

I got my bra box from True and Company in the mail today, and I feel beautiful!
