Weekly Roundup: week nine

Man, weeks go by way too fast when you have Monday off. Suddenly, it's Friday and I'm behind on everything–including this post. Currently procrastinating on a rough draft of the last paper of my undergrad life because it's for a class at 2pm. Spring quarter is not for slackers who spend all their time at the bar. Like me. I'm so close though...

Summer began Memorial Day weekend...

Music: On the long, late night ride home from the cabin on Monday, my cousin showed me Viceroy so we wouldn't fall asleep at the wheel. His remixes are the perfect summer jams, and he uses great classics like Nelly's "Must Be The Money," Ginuwine's "Pony," and Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It."



Food: Last weekend was literally the weekend of food. I don't think I've had more amazing meals crammed into four days: tacos, pie for breakfast, tri trip, trout and mushrooms, succotash, potatoes, and eggs, mussels, turkey, and so much wine, beer, and tequila. It was actually heaven for a foodie (and drunk) like me.

Television: I started Showtime's new show Penny Dreadful this week, and I like it so far! It's got some old literary favorites like Frankenstein and Dorian Gray, while adding to the mix some new, mysterious characters. I absolutely love Eva Green in it and it's also got my very favorite person in the acting world, Billie Piper! So, needless to say, I'll keep watching it.

Beauty: I know, I just talked about my Birchbox last week, but. I need to fully discuss one of its items: LAQA & Co.'s Lip Lube in Menotaur. I know, it looks bright purple; just trust me and put it on. It is the perfect fun summer color, goes on easy like a balm, and smells minty!
